ABOUT ALYSIAN WINES
Alysian Wines is handcrafted in Healdsburg, CA.
Maintaining meticulous attention to detail while keeping an open minded, and even sometimes a hands off approach to winemaking, lends to our nuanced libations. We source from veteran growers and off-the-beaten-path vineyards in Sonoma County, Mendocino County, Humboldt County and as far north as Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
Woody was born in a house in Anchorage, Alaska and shortly after moved to the Bay Area. Introduced to the wine business at a young age, his interests eventually led him to relocate from NYC to Healdsburg in 2010. In addition to making wines for Alysian Winery, Alysian Vermouth, and Floodgate Wine Co, he oversees grape growing at the Grist Vineyard in the Dry Creek Valley. When he is not at the winery you can find him working in his organic garden with his dogs, pigs and chickens. Or, chances are he is on his GS motorcycle in the wilds of the west coast, exploring far off the beaten path.
